Following a premonition, I made this picture 2 days before my baby was born. Now I'm really glad to have this last photo of my pregnancy!

Expecting Winter

One day in late november, I woke up in the morning, saw some sunrays through the curtains and thought - today is the day! It might be the last day in this year enough warm to take photos outside! And really.. this was some kind of premonition. I spent several hours alone in the woods until I got really frigging cold, but it was magic! Some days later we had the first snow, and six weeks later I had my baby ♥.

Spirit of the Forest

 
The idea for this series came to me a couple of months ago when my partner told me about a special spot in the woods where he grew up. I had an experiment in mind - to make pregnancy photos in special places like this one, where I could capture the spirit of nature and new life at the same time.. So this is the first of several pregnancy photo series which I made throughout fall 2012. It was a foggy morning in late october and definitely too cold to wander around barefoot - but I just loved the atmosphere, the mist between the trees!
